News June 2011

New Product
USKG has redesigned the TS63 and TS60 drivers; both are now available from our webstore. The heads have been widened and the height of the face has been lowered. The widened head helps miss-hits go straighter with a better MOI "Moment of Inertia". The widened head and reduced height of the face results in a lower Center of Gravity – deeper and further back from the face. This means the ball will launch higher than previous drivers.

The new TS63 and TS60 drivers are included in the 6-club and 10-club sets and available as individual clubs in our website. The drivers are USGA and R&A approved clubs, the only designed just for kids drivers to be so approved.

Family Course
The U.S. Kids Golf Family Course Program allows kids and beginners the ability to play golf from appropriate yardages that give the golfer the confidence of shooting closer to par and the comfort of keeping up with pace of play. Tees are identified by USKG tee makers with an additional smaller marker on the cart path. Unfortunately the program has not yet been implemented in Japan. Family Courses in the US can be found by visiting the U.S. Kids Golf website in the US at www.uskidsgolf.com, please click the "Play and Learn" link for more information.

European Championship and Van Horn Cup, Gullane, Scotland
The USKG European Championship is held the end of May, this year May 31 – June 2. More than 400 players from 30 nations compete in Europefs premier junior tournament showcasing the next generation of golf stars. The championship is held across some of Scotlandfs most historic golf courses in East Lothian, including Gullane, Kilspindie, Craigielaw and Luffness.

This year from Japan Ms. Sakura Nagano of Fukuoka Prefecture competed in the Girls 13 category over 4,950 yards on Gullane No. 3 Course. I'm sure many of you recognize Sakura from her efforts in the 2010 World Championship played in Pinehurst NC USA.

The top scorer for the Girls 13 category was Elizabeth Prior from England. Her scores over the 3 day event were 72, 78, and 72 for a total of 222. The best score for one round was by Olivia Mehaffey also from England at an unbelievable 69. Sakura placed 5th in the event with a 76, 83, and 75 for a total of 234. Sakura also competed for The Van Horn Cup on June 3 pared with Gabriela Coello from Venezuela on the International Team. They played against Elizabeth Prior and Olivia Mehaffey of England who won their round 5 & 4. The European teams took the overall event 5 to 8.

Up to date information about the event can be found in our website www.uskgj.com.
